Dr. Kim Maynard Veterinarian/Owner Dr. Maynard grew up on a small farm in Florida and knew from the age of 10 that she was going to be a veterinarian. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from the University of Florida in 1987 and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1991. She was then selected for a Small Animal Medical and Surgical Internship at Veterinary Specialists of Connecticut in West Hartford. She fell in love with the northeast and decided not to return to Florida. After her internship she settled into small animal practice in Fairfield County. In 2004 she married and relocated to beautiful Norfolk, CT. Litchfield Hills Mobile Veterinary Clinic opened June of that year. But after 7 years the practice reached maximum capacity and Dr. Kim decided to take the leap to a traditional stationary practice. Dr. Kim lives in Norfolk with her husband Andrew, their son, Kyle and daughter, Alex. Her house is also home to 2 cats and 3 Australian Cattle Dogs. In her free time, Dr. Kim enjoys running, biking and hiking.

Nancy Eltman Receptionist Nancy has been a veterinary receptionist for over 25 years. Before coming to work at Litchfield Hills Mobile Vet in February of 2011, she worked at Trumbull Animal Hospital where she met and worked with Dr Maynard for 7 years. Nancy is that friendly voice at the other end of the line to answer your questions, make your appointments, and comfort you when times are bad. She loves what she does and she's happy to be a part of Litchfield Hills Mobile Vet. Nancy grew up in Thompsonville, CT. She moved to South Carolina, then joined the Navy and eventually met and married her husband of 31 years. She has one son and three cats. She is hoping to get a new Bernese Mountain Dog in the spring. Nancy loves...loves...loves to read and if given her druthers, would live in a library. Is the Norfolk library for sale?
Kristine Simmons Veterinary Technician/Receptionist Kristine knew from a very young age that her passion was to work with animals. For the past 15 years she has been fortunate enough to do just that. In the summer of 2011 she joined the hard working team of the Litchfield Hills Mobile Veterinary Clinic as a veterinary technician and a receptionist. While she loves the happy and energetic puppies and kittens of the world, she finds that her heart belongs to the older cats and older dogs with grey on their faces and eyes full of soul. Kristine resides in the Northwest Corner of Connecticut with her husband Michael, their little boys Owen and Levi, and the family dog Cooper. Hiking, gardening and being with her family and friends are just a few of her favorite things.
